We want you to feel at home!
At LFC we have identified three types of people who attend our church:
- Family Members
Each of these types of people have various church backgrounds and are at different stages of their spiritual growth. We feel it is important to give our Visitors and Friends freedom and time to grow in their knowledge of God's Word, while sorting out their own beliefs. At the same time, we recognize that there are other people who are eager to become Family Members, where they can be committed and involved in their local church and receive mutual commitment in return. It is our desire that every Visitor become a Friend and ultimately a Family Member. We hope these descriptions will help you relax and enjoy your spiritual journey as you find you place at LFC.
Visitors - Occasional Attendees:
A Visitor is a person who "occasionally" visits Lighthouse Family Church. This person is a one-time or occasional attendee of one of our services. Perhaps attending church is new to the Visitor, or they have been churched in the past and are seeking a new church home or a different style of worship. We like to give our Visitors the space they need, while at the same time letting them know we welcome them and are here to meet their needs. We invite Visitors to become Friends!
"I appreciated the space I was given to be a Visitor and then a Friend of LFC... and the low-pressure approach to membership."
Friends - Regular Attendees:
A Friend is a person who regularly attends Lighthouse Family Church. This person is a "regular" attendee of one or more of our services. Friends are still sorting our what type of commitment level they desire from the church. They may need time to get used to the culture and style of our church and find their niche. We like to let Friends be in the driver seat concerning their commitment. We invite Friends to become Family!
"I knew the ball was in my court; I could be as involved or as uninvolved as I wanted to be at LFC... I chose to get involved as a Family Member."
Family - Committed Members:
A Family Member is a person who is "committed" to Lighthouse Family Church and has attended our "Membership Class". This person is "committed" to attending one or more of our services and is committed to the vision of LFC. Family Members are ready to take the plunge and get involved! They expect a lot our of their church, and their church expects a lot out of them! There is a mutual love and commitment. We invite Family Members to take our "Getting A Grip On the Basics" class and get involved with serving in an area of ministry!
"Before I became a Member, I felt like I was on the outside, looking in, now I feel connected to what God is doing in the church."
